February 9, 2026, Cherry Hill, NJ) – The Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey (JFSNJ), the JCC Camps at Medford and the Davis Family – Jane, Mitchell, Carolyn, Patricia and Randy – are proud to announce a substantial gift to name Jewish South Jersey’s summer day camp the Roger & Jane Davis JCC Camps at Medford.
“We are deeply grateful to the Davis Family for this incredibly generous gift to name our camp, which ensures that we can continue to provide the very best experience for every camper today and for the future generations of campers,” said Jared Kaufman, Roger & Jane Davis JCC Camps at Medford Director. “Jewish summer camp is a transformational experience for children navigating their identities, and we are committed to working alongside the Davis Family to ensure our Jewish camp continues to be both fun and meaningful for campers.”
The Roger & Jane Davis JCC Camps at Medford, a department of the Katz JCC in Cherry Hill, was established in 1942 and now welcomes over 1,600 campers between the ages of 3-14 each summer. Camp enriches the lives of every child by teaching values and life skills in a fun, safe, inclusive Jewish environment. Campers spend eight weeks at the expansive 120-acre state-of-the-art facility, which includes four outdoor swimming pools, a splash park, 4-acre lake, boating and fishing docks, dedicated sports fields and courts, a nature center, a newly renovated adventure park with zip lines and climbing boulders, and creative and performing art facilities.
For over 25 years, the Davis family has been instrumental in providing upgrades to these facilities, including an expansion to the ropes course, the addition of a climbing boulder, the nature building, and most recently, the Davis Family Welcome Center.
“The Davis family has given an extraordinary gift to our community, and their generosity is a testament to their love for our community, which will enable us to keep changing the lives of children who attend Camp,” added Jennifer Dubrow Weiss, Chief Executive Officer, Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey. “The Davises established their culture of philanthropy many years ago, beginning with Jane and Roger, of blessed memory. Today, Jane, her children Mitchell and Patricia, alongside their spouses Carolyn and Randy and their children, continue their commitment to foster their legacy and meaningful impact in Jewish South Jersey.”
JFSNJ and the Katz JCC extend their deepest gratitude to the Davis family for their visionary leadership and generosity in advancing the sustainability of the JCC Camps at Medford.
About the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey
The Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey (JFSNJ) began in 1922 when a group of 29 people with vision and compassion for others created an organization which would serve the Jews of Camden. From humble beginnings focusing on the delivery of food, clothing, and shelter, we have grown into a communal organization dedicated to promoting and enhancing Jewish life throughout Southern New Jersey. The Jewish Federation encompasses facilities that serve approximately 56,700 people in the Jewish community of Camden, Burlington, and Gloucester Counties.
Locally, the Jewish Federation and our family of agencies are serving the needs of the Jewish population, including early childhood, young adults, special needs, and seniors. The Jewish Federation family of agencies enhances the lives of thousands of people through counseling; food pantries; low- and moderate-income housing; social, cultural, and recreational programs; Jewish education; and Israel advocacy. The Jewish Federation’s global mission is accomplished through a network of overseas partners assisting Jews in more than 90 countries worldwide.
